A short presentation about the author Elena P. Ornig; including an introduction to both her eBooks.
Blessed by a vibrant passion for life and an inherent optimism, Elena Ornig is on a continuing quest to find out who ‘we’ really are.
Like many immigrants to Australia, Elena feels blessed by being permanently settled on the Gold Coast for the last 15 years.
In her personal life before her drastic destiny change to Australia, Elena lived, studied and worked in Russia. The pinnacle of her career there was becoming Vice-President of the Russian Broadcasting Corporation in Vladivostok; a position earned by enthusiasm and self belief coupled with considerable experience in cultural education and international relations.
Traveling around the world, learning, understanding and accepting the differences of authentic cultures created the biggest impact on her perception of life. Elena says, “As much as we think that we belong to a particular geographical location, the place of our birth, I realised that the real place of birth is not a number and a name of a street. That geographical location, while creating a comfortable peg of belonging, is a limitation in our quest to identify who we really are as individuals. For the last 15 years I can only describe myself as a curious student of life and human nature”.
Elena is still learning and trying to understand the differences of a personal individualism. She says, “My biggest disappointment is the continuing oppression of an individual that starts right in the beginning of one’s life, within the family. That particular problem is real and takes place all around the world. Tragically, mental abuse happens every day and often just next door. In “the Queen of The Castle” I was investigating not just a cause and effect of personal oppression but also presenting a real life case that shows how all odds and adversities of life may be overcome. Renata’s real life story is a perfect example of being a victim of people she loved and trusted with her own life and wellbeing. How did she manage to stay true to herself? Surprisingly, she has the rare ability to rely on her own reasoning with life and about life. She is a truly amazing and inspirational woman.”
Apparently, the idea of writing an unconventional book is a result of the strong individual personal character of Renata Castellé. She surprised the author straight from the beginning of working with her and writing the book. Renata’s reasoning and actions didn’t match any ‘normal’ assumptions about conventional recognition of one’s characteristics; and yet, through a deeper understanding of who is Renata Castellé, the author found the simplicity and honesty of Renata’s personal philosophy in life’s “wishing well” that resulted in her success and happiness.
First, readers had to determine their own understanding of how one could achieve so much after years of such personal struggle; but all of the readers agreed in one simple conclusion: “It is a truly inspirational story.”
A few years ago, Elena Ornig wrote an educational book for children, “Stories from Cherry Street”, that raised a classical question in life of what is wrong and what is right. The answers are presented through many adventures of three main characters: Johnny, Charles and Phoebe, and it is indeed, a very entertaining read.
In 1997, Pamela Parry wrote to Elena,”Each story captured my interest in the first paragraph so that I couldn’t put the book down until I’d finished. Thank you for fixing a smile to my face with Johnny’s adventures. My favorite stories are ‘Heroism or folly’ & ‘Unforgettable days’. They left me with ‘Goosebumps and a big smile’. Your stories are delightfully funny… Johnny is bound to catch the imaginations of young children everywhere”.
Recently, Elena wrote a few articles that are not only published on our website but have been published elsewhere on the internet, by choice of the owners of many other websites. Although her writing career has only just started, her talent has already been recognised by readers as evidence by their testimonials.
We wish her a long and successful career as an author. Both of Elena’s digital books and many articles can be found on our website: Real People Real Answers and on her personal website www.answersfrom.com.
