10 Steps DIY guide for perfect outdoor screening project.
Did you know that in botanical language, Golden Cane Palms
are called Dypsis Lutescens?
The amazing tropical plants originally came from Madagascar where they have become an endangered and rare plant.
They prefer a tropical, moist climate and they just love full sun exposure. Due to their adaptability, they can grow even in temperate climates and may reach up to six meters in height. They are also easy to grow in pots as an indoor-plant.
They have high drought tolerance, but in perfect conditions you have to remember that they need good drainage to grow healthier, faster and higher.
I have many of them in my garden, I just love them. I am not surprised at how popular they are around Australia. They are very pretty with their golden coloured trunks, green bushiness and ability to cluster.
I have chosen them for my DIY project for many reasons: they are fast growing, easier to relocate than most other plants, provide perfect screening, and of course – they are very pretty.
